Happy Halloween!
I've been busy working on my baby girl's Halloween costume. She's going to be a pink crayon this year. Oh, and we of course had to make a matching costume for her favorite dolly. They are adorable!
I'm happy to share that Tidbitz In Time's November kit is now available. This kit has my favorite October Afternoon alphas. I seriously use them on all of my layouts. Love!!
Here is the layout I did for Tidbitz about me.
If you'd like to see my entire gallery for the month go here. I used a couple of STUCK?! sketches for my layouts. They went together in a snap.
Lastly, there is a new STUCK?! sketch out for Nov 1st.
Since I used the Tidbitz kit you've already seen a peek, but here's another. :)
My full layout is over at STUCK?!.
I am the guest designer at Tidbitz In Time for November! How amazing is that!!!
Tidbitz In Time is a monthly scrapbooking kit club that focuses on learning a new scrapbooking technique each month. They send you super fun papers, embellishments, alphas and well, all types of really beautiful stuff to play with.
You can check out my sneak peeks below or over at Tidbitz In Time.
The below sneak is a page about me.... What?!? I know, I've never done a page about me before, but I thought, hey, why not? I think it will be fun to look back on this in 10 years and just laugh!!
I made this rose!. Go me!
A page about Little Pea and her love for PINK!
I'm hoping to have more sneaks soon. :) The kit is really so beautiful! I'm having so much fun playing!
I have another layout up over at STUCK?! This one is (big surprise) about Little Pea's 2nd birthday. I feel like such a bad Mama.... I never got her 1st birthday scrapped, so I made sure to do this one right away.
You can check out my completed layout here. Of course, there is lots of PINK on the page, because my baby loves Pink!
And I was able to use that fun digi journalling spot on the page.
Here is the STUCK?! sketch. I flipped it on it's side and made it into a 12X12 page.
Is it really October?? You wouldn't know it around my neighborhood. It's been 80 to 90 degrees all week. Some Fall we are having.
But, since is really is October, I have a new layout to share. I have to admit, this sketch is my absolute favorite that STUCK?! has put out. It is so easy and elegant at the same time. My page came together in no time at all.
Journalling reads:
You love to “sing” these days. One of your favorite songs is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. When you sing, all that comes out is, “Tinkle R” over and over. Daddy and I think you are just the cutest thing ever when you sing for us.
Journaling 8/13/10 / Photo 8/22/10
I really wanted my title to pop, so I layered two different alphas.
And here is the sketch from STUCK?!
Do you ever find a piece of clothing that you end up wearing over and over again? This hat, for my daughter, was one of those items. It was a real deal in a local Target and man did we get our money's worth!
It's black and white, which I love, because it goes with every outfit. Score! But is also has an under the chin strap, so she is much less likely to take it off. She wore this thing all summer long. To the park, to the beach... you name it, she wore it. I got so many complements on it too, which always make a Mama feel good. :)
This layout is basically more beach vacation pictures, but I thought I'd title it after the "hat".
Oh, and I've never used a banner on a page before. What do you think? Are you a banner person? They are so popular right now and well, I'm on the fence, as to whether I like them or not. I'll get back to you on that.
You can see my full layout and the other Creative Team's pages over at the STUCK?! site.
And here's the STUCK?! sketch. I flipped this on it's side and used some white spray paint and gesso to add some texture to the page.
I'm sharing yet another vacation layout. You'd think those were the only pictures I have... don't worry... they aren't. :) I'm sort of in love with this page. I hope you enjoy it too!
We went to Boston this June for the Dodgers Red Sox game. We got to the stadium early and took a tour of Fenway. We went all over the park and sat in the old wooden chairs behind home plate and the Monster seats.
When the game started you loved it. The crowded stadium and cheering fans made you smile. You ate your first hot dog. You’d laugh and clap every time the fans cheered. A couple of times Daddy got upset when you cheered for the wrong team.
It must’ve been a lot for you to take in because you fell asleep on my shoulder in the 4th inning and didn’t wake up until the 8th.
Final score 5 to 4… Red Sox. Boo!
This page sums up so much of our vacation this summer for me. Going to Massachusetts with my parents has been something we've wanted to do for a long time. Also, going to Fenway with my Dad was so important to me. He grew up going to games there and I wanted to share a game with him too. The fact that it was Little Pea's first game ever was just icing on the cake for me.
If you are not familiar with The Green Monster well then you are obviously not a baseball fan. I feel like I was born knowing what it was. I think baseball is just in my DNA.
The design for this layout is the new sketch from STUCK?! (you can see it below or over at the STUCK?! site). I flipped it on it's side and went crazy.
My journalling got a little long on the page, but I've found that pages with more journalling become my favorites to look back at later.
It's pretty obvious that this tag punch is my favorite right now. I have been using it on all of my layouts.
It was a little tricky to punch this journalling out. I had to print it out twice to get the over lapped looked I wanted on the page.
I used inked the edges of the tags with some Distress Ink before adhering them to the page.
Happy Scrappin!
Happy Weekend!
Today I'm sharing a layout of our recent trip to Boston. I used the August 15th Stuck?! sketch to get me started. I love the design and I think this may be one of my favorite pages I've created.
I had a lot of random thoughts to say about this picture, so I journalled different paragraphs to break them up.
And of course I used a little Washi Tape under the butterfly. I'm not sure I've created a page with out it lately.
Be sure to check out the Stuck?! sketch and get inspired! :)
Happy Scrappin!
Hello to all the scrappy blog hoppers! And welcome!
Before I get into the hoppy stuff, I have to share. Look at what I have been up to.
Yes, that is a can of spray paint! I started out with a blank white 12X12 piece of paper. First, I splattered, and then, I dripped.
This style is so different from my norm and I must say, it is over the top fun! The above page is actually just a practice for my Art Class. I'll share that soon. Oh man, it is awesome!
On to the hop. If you don't know what a blog hop is, well, in this case it is like a scavenger hunt on the web. Every member of the STUCK?! Creative Team has a letter, which we all post on our blogs. If you want to play along, hop on over to each CT Members' blog and get their letter. Keep track of each letter as you'll need to unscramble them and make a word.
Then just send an email to stucksketches@optusnet.com.au with the winning word by midnight September 10th.
Oh, you must also comment on each of the blogs to be eligible for the prize drawing, so be sure to leave me some love today. It really makes me smile to have fun comments. Please introduce yourself. :)
On to my letter and probably the whole reason you are reading today... I know the suspense is killing you... so get on with it already, right?... okay, so this post is brought to you by the letter:
"C"
I really feel like an episode of Sesame Street.
But in any case, I am happy to share "C" with you. This just happens to be one of my favorite letters. It is the first letter of my first name after all.
Have fun unscrambling. And here are links to the other CT members' blogs.
And remember, be sure to drink your Ovaltine.
Happy Scrappin!
Even though it is not Aug 1st yet here in the US, it is in Australia, so I get to talk about my first layout for STUCK?!
Here's a little peek. I used those awesome stamps from Studio Calico. Loving them, big time on paper.
The sketch from STUCK?! is this:
It was so easy to work with and I love the stars in the corner. Too cute!
I traced around a star template and then used my sewing machinge to created the stitched stars on the left. I love the look over the blue stared paper. I also used a Maya road kraft envelope to add some hidden journalling. I love that this page will have a secret little note from me to my daughter.
Be sure to check out my entire layout over at STUCK?! along with the other Creative Team's LOs. There's some great inspiration over there. :)
Happy Scrappin!
