My beautiful sister started this tradition for her first born son. I loved it so much I had to do this for my little girlie too!
That "two" is actually a quilt block. Every year at my little girl's birthday party the attendees sign her block for the year.
Luckily, my sis sewed on the numbers "1" and "2" for me. You know to get me started.... I'm wondering if I'll ever get to the three. I guess, I do have a year to get it done... We'll see how that goes.
The plan is to have one of these blocks for her first twelve birthdays. After that, I'll put them together and make her a fun memory quilt.
